We have put together a select group of experienced film industry and orphan care professionals to advise us in the making of Scars of an Orphan.

J. Todd Anderson is a storyboard artist who has worked primarily with the Coen brothers, but also with an array of other filmmakers including George Clooney.   He is known for his work on No Country for Old Men (2007), Fargo (1996) and The Big Lebowski (1998) and most recently, Hail, Caesar! (2016) starring George Clooney.  In addition to his roles in award-winning films, Anderson’s connections with top level talent, producers, directors, and investors make him an exciting addition to our advisory team.

 


Jedd Medefind serves as President of the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) a coalition that brings together 190 respected organizations in shared initiatives, along with a wide network of churches that work in tandem to inspire and equip families, churches and organizations for effective service to vulnerable children and families — from adoption and US foster care, to aid and empowerment programs worldwide.

 


Karen Springs is a native of Seattle, Washington, but has lived and worked in Kiev, Ukraine with CBN’s Orphan’s Promise since 2004. While in Ukraine she has served as an adoption advocate and educator and has helped produce several stories showing the importance of children in families and has been involved in a national adoption movement in Ukraine. Karen currently serves as a regional manager for Orphan’s Promise work in Europe and the Middle East.  Karen loves to travel and tell stories, whether in written form or through her lens.

Vladimir Goryanskiy is a renowned Ukrainian actor with experience on both the stage and screen. He is the leading actor of the Kiev Academic Drama and Comedy Theater on the Left Bank. He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Theatrical School, was awarded the Laureate of the National Award “Person of the Year – 2002” and nominated for “Best Actor of the Year” in 2003 and 2005. Goryanskiy was twice the winner of the “Kiev Pectoral” award and was awarded the People’s Artist of Ukraine – this is the highest title award to outstanding performing artists whose merits are exceptional in the sphere of the development of the performing arts (theatre, music, dance, circus, cinema, etc.).
